I have a decade of experience working within the Health Maintenance field for the Pacific Northwest region. In this time, I’ve provided quality customer service for my patients, while focusing on their needs as clients. More personally I hail from Paris, France, where I learned to appreciate the diversity of people. This has also granted me the unique privilege to have staffed around the world. I'm also the proud father of four and am an avid dog lover. While working in Health Maintenance, I’ve made many connections with local businesses. These include but aren’t limited to local healthcare facilities and hospitals, Veterans Office, Aloha Business Association, Washington County, Yamhill County, and Marion County.

I was born in Portland, Oregon and I have lived in Oregon my whole life. My Career in Healthcare began at the age of 15 with my first job. I started as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Long Term Care while working my way through school. Through school I progressed from a Certified Nursing Assistant to a Licensed Practical Nurse, then to a Registered Nurse. In 1980I left Long Term Care to work at OHSU. Working on 9C I supported Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Trauma, and ENT. I was very proficient at vent weaning and getting patients back to normalcy. I rejoice in positive outcomes and seeing patients regain their health. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and riding my Mustang Horses.

Nursing Instructor
Maryrae Blanchard, RN
I’m a Registered Nurse and Health Educator at ARK Foundation. My key responsibilities are training students while also evaluating their performance in meeting patient needs in a safe and accurate manner. I believe in providing the highest level of skilled and compassionate care while also maintaining client dignity.
My career as a nurse spans 40 plus years which includes touching many life’s with caring and compassion. During that time, I have coordinated care for clients and their families from pediatrics to geriatrics. I have participated in planning, teaching and presenting conferences on various nursing care topics. Other passions include art, reading, travel and enjoying my family and grandchildren. As a lifelong learner, I started nursing as an LPN, than RN and received my B.S.N in 2006. Education is very important and I look forward to mentoring and teaching nursing assistants to be the best they can be.

Nursing Instructor
Anita Jepson, RN
Anita Jepson comes to the Ark Foundation with 16 years of experience as an RN with in-hospital care of Neuroscience, Stroke, and Head/Neck surgery patients. Prior to this, she worked for 2 years as a CNA at a Progressive Care Facility. While employed as a Staff nurse, she also served as RN Staff Educator for 10 years, seeking to raise the quality care of nursing staff by acting on committees which were working towards improvements in Skin care, Falls, Staff Communication, Patient Education, and seeking Magnet Certification. She values taking time listening to patients and co-workers, to clearly hear their stories about the changing lives around her, to see how she can support and come alongside them towards their goals. Outside of work, Anita loves to garden and to spend time at the beach with her husband, and blue heeler pup, Beau.

Nursing Instructor
Kayl Panganiban, RN, BSN
Hi, my name is Kayl (Kyle) Panganiban, RN. I am a registered nurse with experience in emergency nursing and hospice care, where I developed strong clinical assessment skills and a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Before becoming a nurse, I worked as a CNA and Medication Technician and also served as a Teaching Assistant, leading group learning sessions and supporting students in their academic development.
I currently serve as a CNA instructor, where I enjoy mentoring and educating the next generation of healthcare professionals while helping students build confidence in their clinical skills.
Outside of nursing and teaching, I am an endurance athlete currently training for an Ironman. I have completed several marathons and ultramarathons, and I bring the same discipline, resilience, and perseverance from endurance sports into my work in healthcare and education.

I started in the Care Field a little over 8 1/2 years ago. I worked in a Care Facility for 7 1/2 years. I enjoy helping others making people smile and just simply making a difference in someone's life. I enjoy being a Caregiver. Being a part of ARK Foundation has given me more knowledge about care and how to be a better Caregiver. I still have lots of room to grow and learn new things about providing care. I do enjoy helping the students and working with the Instructor David.

Admin Assistant
Ann Thompson, CNA
I’ve lived in the Willamette Valley since 1961. I was a career homemaker for 31 years and a mother of five children. I also cared for my dad as he approached the end of life, and my mom, who, years later, succumbed to vascular dementia. As a widow, I worked in retail and real estate. I soon discovered these were not enriching pursuits. I found PCC and Gerontology. With an AAS and a basis in hospice care, I attained a B.S. degree at Western Oregon University in 2016. I learned about Atlantis through a neighbor and decided to interview. Their level of professionalism and concern for their clients and employees alike is exemplary. When the opportunity came to transition to the Ark Foundation CNA School, I was thrilled. Helping seniors and people with disabilities live independently for as long as they can has always given me great fulfillment. Being a part of training others to provide professional care is doubly rewarding. Many of our students go on to more advanced roles in healthcare. I look upon this work as building a relationship of trust with our community. I currently have little discretionary time, but I have learned to enjoy the moments I do gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends
